Dental Veneers (Porcelain or Composite)

For Vivid Smile Improvements

Dental veneers are ultra-thin shells made of either porcelain or composite resin that are used to improve the appearance of your smile. These shells are bonded to the front or top surface of the affected teeth to deal with damage or minor smile imperfections including stubborn stains or discolouration, cracks, chips, and unsightly spaces between teeth.

What are Dental Veneers?

Preparation for dental veneers only needs a minimal amount of tooth material to be removed, which means more of the healthy tooth structure can be preserved in the process.

Dental veneers can be made from two materials:  porcelain or composite resin.

Each material has a different set of advantages that will address specific requirements with regards to improving the aesthetics and sometimes, even the function, of the smile.

How it Works

Dental Veneers

Porcelain

Porcelain veneers are generally considered to be much stronger compared to veneers made with composite resin. This is the distinct advantage that makes porcelain veneers treatment a popular choice even with their higher price compared to composite veneers. The porcelain material has a translucent attribute that bears the closest resemblance to the quality of real teeth and is resistant to chipping and staining.

Composite

Composite Veneers are made with composite resin have a lower price compared to porcelain veneers. Composite veneers also involve a quicker process that allows them to be fabricated within the same time as your dental visit so you can immediately enjoy the benefits of the treatment. However, composite resin veneers have a shorter lifespan and are more prone to staining than porcelain veneers.
