You may not realise you grind your teeth or that this habit is very bad for your dental health.
- Teeth grinding is also known as bruxism and mostly happens at night while you are asleep – and results in a great deal of pressure on your teeth.
- Bruxism can result in chipped or fractured teeth, tooth sensitivity, discoloration, cavities or gum inflammation.
- You should make an appointment with your dentist if you grind your teeth, to avoid any lifelong problems.
